Day off Nuemero du

Today I had my 2nd day off, it was great!!

I decided to go to Bern (the capital of Switzerland) with another staff member (Ah Ruem (KO)).

It is only about an hour train ride so it wasn't that bad, and the architecture is amazing, and there are fountains everywhere (will post photos).

Ah Ruem and I went to the Bear Pit (live grizzly bear in a pit), the natural history muesem (saw a religious exhibit of Southeast Asia, and Europe. An exhibit about Albert Einstein, and the history of Bern). and I did not know that Einstein renounced his German citizenship to become Swiss, or that he went to (then called) Zurich Polytechnique!!

After that we wandered over to the Parliment Building, for a free tour... the catch was (well wasn't really a catch) was that yesterday they only had French and German tours, however the guide did some words in English, but I believed that I understood about 30-45% of the French she was talking about (Mrs. Fitz would be so proud! I learned everything from her). Tour lasted about one hour and then a late lunch, then caught the train back to Kandersteg.

Last night was also Staff Night Out, so we played Hide and Seek in the Old Chalet, which was awesome, and then went to a traditional Finnish Sauna that was donated to the centre by a Finnish Group after the Centanial World Jamboree, in England.

All in all it was a fun...hilarious...and just an awesome Staff Night Out!

Oh and lastly before I forget, my Pinkie Staff photo is up at http://www.kisc.ch/staff/current-staff/ check me out, the photo theme is "In the Air"
